hey all. Am new to this forum and believe me i am more than confused!!!! I want to take the USMLE when i finish this year. I want to ask how long it took you all to study for this exam.some say 2mths,3mths,some even say a year!!! pls someone give me some advise. also is the kaplan 6mth course any good

NO can tell about you how much longer you have to prepare, except you, your self can decide. Few people can do it 2 weeks and few people take yrs, it depends on you. Solve the Q Book first, if you are doing good like above 60% now, then it will be easier for you, and if you do like b/w 30% to 40% then you have to work hard a little bit more from now. Q book is little bit difficult then other sources, thas why I'm asking you to do it.

well, their are many sources, e.g NMS 7th edition 2005, usmlerx.com, rapid review for each and individual subjects, not the rapid review which has questions for all subjects, robbins review questions 1200 qs, web path, etc etc.
