What is the risk of getting endometriosis or ovarian cancer in a remaining ovary if someone had a hysterectomy and unilateral oopherectomy? How would the other ovary be removed if they needed to take it out, and how can they detect it? Would an ultrasound help?

okay, unless the surgeon cut a piece from inside the uterus and sutured it to the ovary, there should be no chance of getting endometriosis after a successful hysterectomy with unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is performed. about ovarian cancer in the remaining ovary. umm i don't think regular sonograms are recommended for the screening of ovarian cancer. although it maybe helpful.
