hi guys, i am taking the exam in May 31 and i have a few questions if any of you could answer:
1. Do we have to bring our own flash light, reflex hammer, etc.......
2.Do we shake hands when we walk in or out?
3.which one is better, to write the PN or use the computer?

Hi Dokyjun!! Hope to see you on wed! I will be having my CS also on the 31st in LA. Where are you staying now? I dont think we have to bring a penlight and a reflex hammer. All are being provided by the center. What I know is that we have to bring our own lab gown and a stethoscope. But if you dont have any, you can just borrow from the center.

Hi friends, I have cleared all the steps and I am ECFMG certified.I want to help by telling that U dont need to carry anything to centre other than stetho,w coat,Cs email confirmation,Govt ID.U should shake hands both before and after Ur done with Ur case.Ipreffered hand writing my notes. Thanks for your post and congrats on getting ECFMG certified. I am thinking of using the computer to type my notes, but I don't get it - so how far is the computer station from the SP door - in case I need to look again at the SP vitals and they are at the door. How is the set up of the center - do you type in the bginning of the corridor? Do you have a computer in front of every SP's room? If you decide to write - do you stand up in front of the SP's door or is there a cubicle desk where you could sit down?

hi all,
as long as you are still in that encounter, you can get up and look at the vitals on the door...
the computer in the exam room is only for the SPs
there are work stations so you can write or type the pn...again it all depends on how fast you type, or how readable you writing is...i wrote... ___________________ keep it real!

Bravo for having done the CS exam. i was wondering how far is the work station from the rooms? Do you have to go to this work station for writing the note or ony for typing the note or for both? (If I can write in front of the room vs typing far from the room, than I would rather save some walking time to the work station and write standing up in front of the room).
