If there is a problem with neural crest cells, what cardiac anomalies are likely to follow?

  #2

I think truncus arteriosus. The septum between aorta and pulm art/conus is formed by migration of neural crest cells.

  #3

If neural crest cells do not migrate to heart and form connective tissue and smooth muscle of truncoconal septum--you can get tricuspid stenosis,
Tetralogy or VSD

the AP septum and IV septum (memb part) are both formed by NC cells, so anomalies of these two structures. Mostly cyanotic

  #5

along with the membranous AP and AV septun...dont the neural crest cells also form the endocardial cushion in the atrial septum?
...so i guess..... along with the defects in the AP and AV septum, the patient should also have endocardial cushion defect...... :?
