Nay...

Dude, Platelet function abnormalities is with VWD, that forms a complex with factor VIII, prolonging bleeding time and PTT. Factor VIII deficiency alone doesn't modify platelet activity, just the intrinsic pathway and prolongs only PTT.

I'm not sure about the "immunoreactive" part, so if you can, please check on the mother-load of knowkedge (lol) ...

Prolonged bleeding time in children and young adults with hemophilia
GR Buchanan and CA Holtkamp Of 49 patients with hemophilia A or B, who had not received replacement transfusions for at least 72 hours, ten were demonstrated to have a prolonged value for the bleeding time. None had evidence of von Willebrand's disease or prior aspirin ingestion, and only one was found to have an associated intrinsic platelet defect. It appears that the bleeding time, generally thought to be a measurement of platelet- subendothelium interaction, may also sometimes be prolonged in congenital coagulation disorders in which platelet function is normal. Classic hemophilia A should have normal bleeding time .

Lab studies show an abnormal PTT, abnormal facor VIII:C, normal PT, normal bleeding time and normal thrombin.

But in reality, many Hemophilia patients with very low factor VIII:C would have increased bleeding time (please do not use this in the exam.)

In exam, bleeding time for hemophilia should be NORMAL but in real life, many have bnormal bleeding time !
