What are the difference between hungtington's disease and hemiballismus?

Il answer hemiballismus

1)Thrombosis of a branch of post. cerebral artery supplying subthalamic
nucleus (its dramatic)
2)Abrupt onset of wild, flailing movements of contralateral arm,sometimes
legs as well.
3)The appearance suggest that the thalamocortical pathway from VL
to SMA has gone OUT of control!!

Huntington
A.D.,chromosome 4
atrophy in caudate ,putamen,frontal cortex
triplet repeats of CAG
decrease GABA,ACH.Substance P
chorea,,atheoid movements ,dementia
