In a sperm cell with a chromosome number of 22 which is unbalanced, if the chromosomes present in the cell have the configuration of
+15, -22, -t(15q;22q) then is the long arm of 22 missing?
If the configuration is +15, -22, +t(15q;22q) is the long arm of 22 missing? is there an extra copy of the long arm of 15?

Please help!

hi.Robertsonian translocation, a different sort of chromosomal mutation called centric fusion,is a common form of chromosomal rearrangement that occurs in the five acrocentric human chromosome pairs, namely 13, 14, 15, 21 and 22.in your question long arm of 22 is missed and joined to the centromere of 15 chromosome.and this is the main reason of unbalance of karyotype.

i would be glad if i coyld help you!
