Hats off to you! Great work - great result! Thank you for sharing. prader-willi, did you read Goljan 500 notes? And I have another Q, probably p53 can answer it: I 've bought this book 2 yrs ago: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0721682596/103-8... Is there any difference btw my book and the 2nd edition? Are the Qs the same? If it's so, then I will not spend another 40$ for the same info... Please give me an advice if you can.

Gongratulations! As I understood LN for micro and immuno are enough. Is there any topic that is better to read from levinson rather than from LN for micro and immuno? Thanks

thank u so much for all the good wishes all u guys!!! ..i appreciate it kate:no i did not read the goljan 500 pg book...many ppl had adviced me initially that its a lil too dense and wud take loads of time....i used the rapid review 300 pg book the audios also complement this book i wud suggest the rapid review with robbins review for practice q.....about the next q,the one u have is most probably the first edition (310 pages),the 2nd edition is 420 pages so i suppose the new edition will have something new!!!!!its ur call....my advice go for the 2nd edition i ve done it completely and have already voiced my opinion about it earlier....hpoe this helps usmle4life:if u ve read the first aid before then go ahead with it....if u havent read it yet then i wud suggest to revise the notes that u ve already read...u ll definately feel more confident...shud take max 2 days....go for it!!!!!work hard ,,may the force be with u!!! ..all the best snake:if u ve finished the q bank or whateever source u r using ,i think u shud do nbme now and see where u stand ...whether u r on the correct path or not....make use of the assessment profile they give u and sort out ur weak areas in 10 days and then go for final quick revision....here u can either the first aid or ur notes...i did my notes again..about the test,u have 1 hour break time which includes the tutorial so if u accustomed to the same tutorial in the cd which the ecfmg sends u then u can safely skip it in the exam and get more break time for urself which gives u more flexibility in terms of break time....lastly stick to what u ve read for patho,no need to diversify now!!! ...all the best ...work hard...sleep less hilfiger:i found no such topic....the notes r complete, more than enough, make sure u ve the latest immuno notes with u,i had 2004 notes(200 pages) sam27:my opinion is to get as many readings of ur notes as possible befors the exam,as u read the stuff again u start making connections between the diff subjects, things become more clear and u retain them more...it took 3 solid readings for me...im sure it varies from person to person...i followed kingsofke s advice here.....as u read stuff just ponder over as to how the line u ve read cud be askes as a question....just try to figure it out ...will take some time initially but it worked for me in the last stages of my prep....was able to fly thru my last revision bcoz of this.....give it a shot.....just persevere man...give it ur absolutye best shot and leave the rest to god..i did the same ans u can see what i got!!!!!!u too can do it...all the best

kate,vanshita,hilfiger,26malik...thanks for all ur wishes..god bless u all vanshita:yes indeed....jai hind luckyluck:2 months u better start solving practice q,reading all the material is one thing....applying what u read to find answer for the q is different proposition....kaplan q bank is very good source in my opinion...online 1 month use costs 200$...u can also try nms,a&l or pretest although i didnt use these so cant give u proper feed back....point is to start doing q maybe 50 -100 per day with explanations so that u feel confident in latter stages of ur prep.....i personally think 2 detailed readings with a quick revision (third reading ) shud suffice....pretest cant really say, solved only patho which is good, try to put in best efforts u cant give the exam again unless u fail so this is ur only attempt....hit it with full force...u ll do well

hi luckyluck...u r welcome!!!!!about the q bank cd....well i had done the online version while almost all my colleagues prefered the cd....they didnt score that well ...a couple of them admitted that in hindsight if there was onething that they cud change about the prep that wud have maqde a difference wud have been to take the online version.......the q might be similar but u wont get the assessment profile in the cd which i think was a plus....it really helps to know which subjects and organ systems u r weak in so that u can work it out and channelise ur energy in the right direction......its ur call......if u do decide to do the cd version then i wud advice u to atleast take nbme after ur q bank to assess urself,to see as to ahere u stand....as u can see my nbme and actual scores are pretty close.....about the nbme.......i had taken the timed version(strongly recommended)....after u finish the 4 blocks the test gets scored automatically....u cant do it again....actually i feel u dont need it nbme is strictly assessment tool and NOT learning tool ....try to analyse the report card ......give it atleast 2-3 weeks before ur test bo that u can work on ur weak areas and bring up ur overall score......no point doin the strong areas again and again close to the exam !!!!!!hope this helps ....all the best!!!

2 months is a long time luckyluck.....still if u feel confident with kaplan patho then go ahead.....i wud suggest that u assess urself with kaplan simulated or nbme and see ur performance in patho......if good then keep revising the same.....if poor i think u shud atleast go thru goljan audios once if u feel u cannot do the book....hope this hepls...good luck
