What is the 1st diagnostc test after obtaining a suspicious ECG for Pulm . Embolism ?

Ventilation perfusion scan is the best next step in the diagonosis of PE, if it come out to be the high problity for pe then the diagnosis is made if it come out to me normal then PE is rule out , if give result as indetermine then is the indication for Pulmonaray angiogram.
second best thing if no VQ scan is the option is duplex studies for the deep venous thrombosis D-dimer(by elisa) is very sensitive and i had read recently the review article on PE and studies they really recommend D-dimer and spiral CT scan for the diagnosis of PE
but for the exam purpose VQ scan is the choice if not given then spiral CT, if both r given what to do
Then i think u choose spiral CT
Lots of confusion, but i don't think so they make confusing choices in the exam

And for the Mleian, gold standard test are not always your best initial test in the dx of disease.
