You really are an artist in explaining things!!
Specially that KA,KRand TP concept. Mind blowing.
Kindly solve my problem too. I think you are the best person to ask. . I have asked this question to AshB and I did got a reply but i also want others opinion.
I have started preparing for MLE this month and planning to take
1. Step 1 in July
2. Step 2CK on 1st September
3. Step 2 CS at october end.
NOw tell me is there any problem with this schedule?
Is ECFMG Certification necessary before applying for residencies and match.
What would be the difficultiesI would face with this Schedule.
I wanna take surgery guys there.
Other option I have, is to take steps slowly and step2CS and step 3 next year and apply for 2009 match.With step 3 in hand can I get other competetive programs like surgery and orthopaedics .Which option is better??
BUt what would i do in between so much time.??
Other thing which come up in my mind is that if at all it would take so much time then why not add one more year to this and do a indian MD/MS here? and afterwards go to US. I know lot of confusion but kindly help with this query.
Do I have to come back after I finish my residency and if at all I have to whats the point in doing it from US??????
What does AshB and other senior moderators have to suggest me?

i don't agree with doing the questions quickly and in a rush.
One should take their time the first time aroun d to do the qestion right instead of coming back to confuse your self more and doubt your initial judgment.
don't rush the exam but don't sleep during it either.

oh wow. this write up was simply amazing. it has put so many things in perspective, and cleared up so many fuzzy thoughts. i don't yet know where i stand in my preps till now, but I now know how to find out. And, no matter where I stand, I have the tools to improve on it.
askdoc, do come back and wave to us when you're through with whichever Step is currently keeping you busy. i wish you well in everything.

Hello, every one, sorry that i haven show up to let every one know that in dee i pass my step 1, i got 81 which just feel good for me jeje. i really thank askdoc for his help. i saw also his post on the step 2 forum and i'm keeping his tip for my step 2. this time i'm going for the 99.
about askdoc i heard that he took step 2ck and pass it and cs but nothing more hope hes doing well

Askdoc fans,
I did some formating to askdoc's posts in this thread and put them all together and corrected the spelling errors.
Note: i plan on doing some more formating and reorganizing the article but this is what i have for now.
