I took the Step 2 CS 6 weeks ago and I am getting the following message when I tried to apply online using IWA just as mentioned by various people who used the OASIS trick:
"Our records indicate that you are already registered for this Step or Step Component. You may not apply for a Step or Step Component if you are already registered for that Step or Step Component. If you fail or do not complete a Step or Step Component, you may submit another application for this exam, but certain time limits apply when retaking a Step or Step Component. For complete information, refer to Reexamination and Reapplication in the ECFMG Information Booklet and Retakes in the USMLE Bulletin of Information."
The online form does not allow me to proceed anymore after this message. Can anyone please help me with the message?

Thanx Banti. My Step 2 CS score reporting time begins on May 24th. The fact that I am not allowed to register online for the exam at this time mean that I have passed? Or the OASIS trick will work only once the mailing date is posted in my OASIS account.

No my friend, late results are no way related to failing in the exam. So just go to sleep and dont worry abt results. U will be getting in a week or two.

Hi,
Although it is an individual opinion,but according to me results will be posted according to date of exam .ECFMG has to post on all the wednesdays in that period,hence candidates who gave exam after 26 February should get their result in period of 24 th may to 21 June.Some candidates may get there result earlier than others depending on various factors,but it has nothing to do with pass/fail.So be in high spirits.God will surely help U.I gave exam on 1st March and got result posted on 24th May.

I know a lot of you guys may know more than me regarding this OASIS trick thing....anyway I am still posting all that I have learned about OASIS trick in this last week..hope it will help someone down the line
First and foremost this OASIS trick is only and only for ECFMG guys... it does not work for LCME guys and there are numerous instances where the OASIS trick gave them unusual worries and later they found out they had passed when they received the scores in their mail.
To be absolutely sure about your result
First wait for the score report mailing date to be mentioned in your OASIS account
Then go to the online IWA application....log in with your USMLE identification number and pass word.....then click on begin a new application....you will have three options but click on Step 2 CS...you will get a message in red saying you have passed the Step 2 CS
God forbid if you did not pass then it will let you go ahead and register.
REMEMBER THIS WILL WORK WITH ABSOLUTE CERTAINITY ONLY IF THE SCORE REPORT MAILING DATE IS MENTIONED IN YOUR OASIS ACCOUNT.
If you try to use this trick before the score mailing date is mentioned in your OASIS account then the comp screen will just say that you are already registered for the Step 2 CS..which technically means your scores are not available yet.

By the way guys.....
I took the Step 2 CS in Atlanta on 5th April. My OASIS account says the scores were mailed on 24th May. I tried the OASIS trick and it says I have passed Step 2 CS.
All the guys who took CS between Feb 26 and April 22 their score reporting period is from 24th May to 21st June. Hope this helps.
And thanks a ton for everyone in this forum who helped with the info.

Anyone out there preparing for the Step 2 CS..... DO MAKE IT A POINT TO VISIT AND READ CAREFULLY digitaldoc's website....there are tones of information there about every aspect of the exam which you will not find in First Aid or USMLE World.
