Which of the following is the best advice for the prevention of future stones in a 54 year old man with history of renal stones?

a) Decrease dietary calcium intake
b) Increase dietary sodium intake
c) Mega doses of vitamin C
d) Decrease dietary protein & oxalate

three recommendations for stone formation prevention are
1.increase water intake
2.avoid red meat protiens and oxalates in diet
3.avoid excessive salt in take
calcium intake reduction depends on one's body chemistry.so it should be done after a good body chemistry profile is in hand.
So D is my answer.Vit C as far as I know is bad for stones.so is dietry sodium in any form.
