Pulseless Electrical Activity: hypotension to the extend of losing pulse in which there is still some type of electrical activity on EKG that maybe even normal or simple tachycardia

PEA: P: problems
E: epinephrine
A: atropine (if bradycardia develops)

Problems: 5 Hs & 5 Ts
5Hs: hypovolemia, hypoxia, hypothermia, hypo/hyperkalemia, H+(acidosis)

5Ts: tensio pneumothorax, tamponade, thrombosis (MI or PE), tablets ( digoxin, B blockers, Ca blockers, antidepressants), TCA overdose (tx with pacing & IV Mgsulfate)

If no pulse: Epi ->Epi ->Epi -> no BP or decrease BP -> fluids, pressors, 100% O2 by mask -> check pulse oximetry -> send all labs, ABGs, serum toxicity -> EKG
