i'm doing the same thimng, i read fa about 4 times, but i did q- book, q-bank with all the explanations & i want to do usmlesteps 123, goljan audio & high yeild, what do you think?

in q-book 72, in q-bank i did around 92% of the qs got around 74
i don't know if i can pass or not

bunyavirus, are you a fresh graduate? how long did you study FA? did you do Qbank after the fourth reading? sorry for questioning but is very good to know that Fa can give such good scores ...

no i'm not a fresh graduate , but i went through the materials last year, now i don't remember anything from them but i'm just going through fa & i'm doing the q-bank along with reading fa

the point is that my friend doesnt have more than 45 days ( he already did an exdtension of eleigibility period) and i dont think he can study FA more than twice ...... so what do u think ? any advices on a study plan?

for me he has to do patho n physio from some other source.....i think he should try to cram first aid in 2 weeks.....and then watever book he chooses for patho or physio....instead of just start reading that book,he should revise in his head what he already knows from FA...and then skim thru the topic and see what info is new for him and then try and memorize that...infact i think if he puts his head down,then in 45 days he can do maybe even anatomy and biochem from kaplan...and after his 2 weeks of crammin or say 20 days at max for FA...he should get usmlerx.....now i havent actually done usmlerx myself and im actually a big fan of usmlesteps 123...but in this particular situation i think usmlerx will be the best source of questions for him.....since he is relying primarily on first aid n ive heard that all the questions in usmlerx Qmax are from FA....so that will help him reinforce what he has learned....but at the same time dont start using questions before he has crammed FA atleast once....coz i find it a waste of good questions when u have no idea about em.....u end up makin blind guesses n nothing sticks in the head...i hope this helps...best of luck to ur friend and all of us here who still have to take that exam

btw......theres another reason i suggested usmlerx w/o actually knowing the content....i think this exam is a lot about confidence and if he does kaplan qank or usmlesteps123....he will definitely see a lot of questions not covered by FA and that will shake his confidence...u have to go into the exam feelin good about the material that u have read.....
as far as my plan is concerned i will finish my 3rd reading by 15th of june inshallah....and then subscibe to usmlerx.....since it has around 2000 plus questions in the bank....i have decided that i will make 6 complete simulation exams from it.....7 blocks a day/350 questions random timed...do one simulation n study for 2 days and then another and study for 2 days and so on.....i think that doing that will help me with the stamina/fatigue thing...my exam is in first week of july....anybody agrees with this strategy???

when u get usmlerx just let us know if u liked more than usmle123 ok thanks oh and whe u had the real test let us know which one is better kaplan, usmlerx or usmle123 thanks youre going to do great in your test
