I tried the 30 sample questions in USMLE 123 and i just love them. for sure i am going to subscribe. they have this quick hits from textbooks so you can not only see the right and wrong question but beside that you have a rapid review from a book.

a very good question i have seen usmle123 and usmlerx and a liked both and both are the same price 99 for i month if u buy both is cheaper than buying kaplan 1 month (i think it cost 199) bluntknife how are the questions in usmle 123? have u tried kaplan? which questions you liked more kaplan or usmle123? when u are going to make the real test? because u could tell us when u have made the real test if usmle123 have similarities to the real thing please let us know ok

i have subscribed to both kaplan qbank and usmle123....as far as level of difficulty is concerned i guess both are the almost the same....as a learning tool i would rate usmle123 higher....the high yield hits are good...but u shudnt get obsessed with them as sum of the material there is beyond the scope of step 1.....the illustrations are good.....kaplan q bank is good too...it has more features..for example the making exam from flagged questions and since more ppl subscribe too kaplan q bank....u get a better comparison of how much scores u should be getting....and which are ur weak and good subjects coz ive found that no matter how bad i do on a test on usmlesteps123 i still rank around the 99th percentile....bottom line i just love usmlesteps123 q bank...i also liked qbook better than qbank....the explanations are better...im taking the test first week of july so u'll hafta wait a while

Hi guys,
do you all rate usmlestep123 better then usmle rx or what?? bcz I'm doing it and really liked it, no matter the explanation are very short but they also have the page of the first aid for the same questions,

im thinking of getting both usmlerx and usmle123 for one month each, 4000 question for 200 dollars and in kaplan for one month u get only 2100 questions for 199 dollars

well, in q max, the questions is some what like q bank, or I can say harder then the q bank. Explanations are very good, it is to the point. These explanations are based in such a way that you can't waste your time, and if you want to read more, then they have their own First Aid page below the explanation. The questions are high yeild and near to the exam.

just to let you know all. Once I have very good customer service and that is from USMLERX.COM, they are really amazing people. I don't know about usmlestep123.com but I know for sure about usmlerx.
I have experienced the kaplan q bank, when they were the only source, they were not good as they should in their customer service, and look into their prices, they just want to empty your pocket.
I was having few problem in their site(usmlerx), but they respond to all of my e mail and even return my call. Compare to usmleasy.com, they don't even wants to listen to your call and its like they are giving some favour to sell their 3rd class product to us, I had pathetic experience with them.
GUYS please consider my opinion regarding the usmlerx.com, the people you can trust.

im sure glad someone or some people are finally raining on kaplans parade- they were getting to monopoly like, powerful and taking large sums of $$ from people in a short period of time.

i think u can say the same about usmle123 shakeels as far as service goes...i was having some trouble creating tests and was getting repeated questions..not only did they solve that problem....they extended my subscription by 2 weeks......but i hafta say that i had good experience with kaplan too....no problems as far as the customer service of kaplan is concerned and i talked to them on atleast 4-5 occasions

but still, I'm concerned about the KAPLAN Q BANK and their time period, $179 for only ONE month and compare to $99 for 2 months. I think its a big difference,.

Hi all,
well I think you are doing good. My opinion regarding USMLERx is wonderfull, they are the best choice for usmle step 1, and I can say that it can replace KAPLAN Q BANK, I'm not saying that KAPLAN Q BANK is the bad choice but USMLERx has the same level as the KAPLAN Q BANK, plus the price of Q MAX is lower then that, so why not people go with it, I'm hearing so many comments about Q MAX, many positive, few negative.
First I would like to discuss NEGATIVE,
1. Has some software problem, its already being resolved. And they are taking good care of their customer, no matter they are not able to answer at the time of call but the do return your call as soon as they can, and they respond to all of your e mails.
2. Questions are easier then Q BANK, thats not right, I would say, if you are done with KAPLAN Q BANK first then you would say that the q max is easy, bcz you learn to answer the questions of usmle style while doing KAPLAN Q BANK, so it would gona be easy. If you would do Q MAX first then you would learn to answer from that, and it would be easier to do KAPLAN Q BANK. Its one way or the other.
3. regarding the explanations in Q MAX, people are saying that they are not upto the level. For this, I would say that, if they didn't explain in a better way they will give you the page of the first aid right below the explanation, so that you can have better idea to read the FA. I think one can do one job better at one time, either they can have good explanations or they can paste their First Aid page in the explanation, it can be one way or the other. If I would say that KAPLAN Q BANK don't have their page from their book, thats also right, but they have good explanations of their answers, so it is also one way or the other for KAPLAN Q BANK too.
Positive points are.
1. Price is toooo low as compare to KAPLAN Q BANK, and you also can extend it from minimum to 15 days, and that option is not available in KAPLAN Q BANK.
2.They have number of questions in all the subject according to their importance, e.g all P's have more or less same number of questions in real exam, and they have it like this way, not like KAPLAN Q BANK, if you are good in pathology you will gona do good in KAPLAN Q BANK, bcz kaplan q bank has half of its questions from pathology, but real exam is not only about pathology.
