hi everyone,
i am a new member of this forum and it was very useful for my prep...mostly for score correlations and exam experiences...i thought i might post mine too for reference to others...
i studied seriously for about 1 month and gave the exam on 25 & 26 april...day 1 questions were tough, and day 2 went fast...i assess that on dya 1, i was able to answer about 50-60% of the questions correctly, and on day 2 it might have been 65-75%.but that is my opinion..most questions were vague, and i felt there is no way to find a good study material for those...time is not enough for the blocks on day 1...we have to rush....CCS were o.k.i mean i did not do everything that usmleworld has, but did the basic management and tried to move the patients as per their response....2 cases went until 20 mins, and the rest finished in like 13- 15 mins...
i studied kaplan step 2 books, and usmleworld (62%) twice with seond time fast review of the objectives mostly...
gave nbme 10 days before test after 1st reading of all the material....i got 410...the nbme cd score was not good as well...i think it was 32/39/29...
got my results on 17 may, and was very surprised to get 90....i would say that nothing correlates to step 3 exam like the other steps...so just trust your instincts and give the exam...most of us need only a passing score...so don't spend too much time for this....
i feel that even though the questions are very vague, most of us manage to pass it comfortably because of the scoring system/standardization....
