whats the rate limiting step in ketone synthesis and the next enzyme after the rate limiting step

i think:
[in the FASTING LIVER mitochondria]
Fatty Acid CoA ->->->->Acetyl CoA->(HMG CoA SYNTHASE)-> HMG CoA ->(HMG CoA REDUCTASE)-> Acetoacetate -> 3-Hydroxybuterate (and Acetone)
if this correct - then i think HMG CoA Synthase is the RLE.
please correct if wrong.

the next step is turning the HMG co A to Acetoacetate by the action of the Enzyme " HMG co A lyase"
