Hi, My name is Tales, I'm from Brazil and I lived in the US for the past 4 years. I decided to come back to Brazil in January because I had started Medical School here and decided to finish my course. I lived in Boston and I love that city...I really want to graduate and go back there. I need to get a certificate by the ECFMG in order to be able to work there as a doctor and start residency, therefore USMLE is on my way. I'm thinking of taking the 1st step of the exam next year, probably in December, after I finish my Pathology course. All I wanted for now is that some Brazilian or other nationality students could help me finding the best books or resources to study while I'm away. I see names like HY, Brs and I have no idea of what they are or how to get them. Students in the US have the advantage of being close to the whole process which I'm not so don't be selfish! lol Thanks for all the replies...Good luck in your medical career

hi tales, welcome to the forum. don't worry about not being in the states. this forum is all u need to keep up on everything usmle. there are many img's on the same path as u are. if u read the past exam experiences u will see that most people stick to kaplan lecture notes plus dvd's. brs for pathology and goljan audio are also hot items. look for them on ebay. also don't forget first aid. best of luck in your studies.
