how does opsonization occur for gram neg bacteria if they only get c3b from complement but no IgG is activated? Dont you need both for opsonization to occur?

my knowledge of bacterial wall tells me that GN organisms have O protein in the outer cell membrane which is antigenic. and so they will have IgG to those as well.

i dont know that you need both for opsoinisation to occur but they are essential for effective opsonisation
