Hi guys. I just took my exam. This forum helped me a lot so I'k say one or two things about the exam. Unfortunately, I can hardly remember.

My obervation is this, everyone gets a different exam. I had a lot of Gross Anamtomy especially upper limb. I had very few neuro questions, maybe 15. I had lots of pathology. It was almost all pathology! Very little Physio. Embryo was 5-6 questions. There was some very tough histology questions about stuff I had never heard about. A lot of the molecular biology was bizarre - I mean out of this world. Lots of Dna stuff in alarming detail. Pharm was quite a lot, which is different from most of the other posts I have seen here. There were lots of pharm questions, direct and indirect. Mainly adverse effects. Lots of sympathetic and parasympathetic drugs!! A lot of the pharm was molecular. I got a chemical structure of a drug!! -What on earth was that!! I mean we're doctors, not chemists.

Make sure you study MRI and CT scan sections of the brain. Also look at all the funny graphs in the Pharmacology section of FA, there was lots of that. Doctor-patient questions too.

Well, I'm hoping for a wonderful score. nodThe exam was really cool. Quite different from Kaplan, but very similar to NBME. Most of the questions had unneccessary information that you have to ignore

I studied for about 4 months. It's a pity cos I have a hectic full time job and so time was hard to come by. I used Fist Aid 2006, which I think is really good. But the Kaplan notes are really important. I had no choice anyway. The Kaplan notes would have taken me a year with my hectic schedue at work. We'll see what happens in 4 weeks.

High yield cell and molecular biology is an excellent book. A lot of the questions in that area were covered in the book. I wish I had discovered the book earlier. And as zerocool said, the last chapter is extremely important. I hope this helps.
