A 54-year-old truck driver in Oklahoma collides with a deer on the highway. He takes the deer home and butchers it. Five days later, he develops fever, non-productive cough, shortness of breath, and generalized lymphadenopathy. No skin lesions are noted. What is the most likely diagnosis?

it has to be Tularemia.

i will choose tularemia (pneumonic) cos it is transmitted via inhalation while eviscerating infected animals (usu rabbit!!). but what about the lumph nodes and absence of a skin lesion????

plague is a close differential but that is from handling rodents.

can someone clarify please??
