Hello folks, More than 12 months ago, I started this big race of USMLE and residency application. I am very please to inform you that this process is almost over and the starting date of my OB-GYN residency is getting closer. My H1B petition has been approved by USCIS and I will be going to the Embassy soon for the visa stamp on my passport. I want to thank this forum for all the help rendered, I learnt alot from you and everyone of you encouraged me in differents ways during all this period. I am very happy I had the opportunity to share with you all and I will try to be present to answer any query of other future candidates. If you want Ob-Gyn and are looking for HIB visa, try to have a look at Coolbabe76's post titled: AUTHENTIC H 1 hospital LIST FOR OB GYN. It is a comprehensive list of H1B sponsoring hospitals as of today. If you want to be successful in this process, try as much as possible to do the following: 1) Good Scores in the USMLE: Anything > 85 is competitive enough 2) Good CV: Publications, Try to do Clinical Observation or Extensionship in the USA or work in medical field after your graduation 3) Good Interview: Prepare well, Confidence and excelent Communication Skills 4) Apply early and wisely Please feel free to contact me if you have any question especially those interested in OB/GYN.
