Hi how are you all. My question is if someone has completed 6 years of medical school, and 4 years of residency in another country besides USA, are they still required to due thier residency regardless if they have already completed it when they came to the USA? B/c I heard from a friend that if a foriegn doctor comes to USA they must complete their residency here no matter what, and that their are no exceptions? -Thank you

Yes, you have to complete residency in the USA to become licensed (and board certified) in the USA.
