Hi! My GF (and soon-to-be wife) got 94 and 92 for her steps1 and 2ck. I'm wondering if, given these scores, she will have a good chance of getting into a respectable university-based or university-affiliated FM or IM residency program, preferably in NY, MD, PA, OH, MI, IL. Can you please recommend FM and IM programs (university-based or affiliated only) in those states that accept these scores?

It's so difficult to plan our residency application because we are aiming for the couples' match and we have somewhat different score ranges (i got 99-99). So we will try to apply only to programs/hospitals where BOTH of us have a good chance of getting interviewed. Any info that can help us decide where to apply will be highly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

score is not everything. last year a person who had got 76 & 79 got residency in FM because he had uslor & usce, while others having higher score failed to do so..also how you do in interview matters. it is possible that your GF might be seleted by some programme while they may reject you. ofcourse 99 & 99 is an achivement in itself but that is not all. so apply without any restriction. G/L to both of you.

The couples match works - we received two this year. And we've had a number over the last few years. Makes for happy residents!!

HOW you interview is very important - almost as important as scores.....
