13 yr pt presents with abrupt high fever, headache, myalgia, chills, cough as part of viral epidemic. Screening tests show type B of the disease. what tx is given for a severe case?

a) amantadine
b) zanamivir
c) acyclovir
d)rimantadine

Severe Influenza A tx: amantadine and rimantadine. These r not effective for type B

For both type A & B: oseltamivir(Tamiflu) & zanamivir
