which of the following drugs will the physician most likely prescribe?

A. buspirone
B. chlorpromazine
C. clomipramine
D. imipramine
E. phenelzine
F. zolpidem

correct ans is C which i agree with, BUT why is D wrong? imipramine also is a TCA, right? so what's the difference between the two???

of all the tricyclic and tetracyclic drugs clomipramine is the most selective for serotonin reuptake versus norepinephrine reuptake. none of the other TCAs appears to be nearly as effective as clomipramine for OCD.
