Whats the difference between reaction formation and passive -aggressive
defense mechanisms.? (Please give examples beside kaplan)

Reaction-formation:
Ex: XYZ loves eating nonveg. but says that he loves vegetarian food,in front of others.
Passive-aggression:
Ex: "I will help you in the exam.Ok! You just don't worry at all. But :wink: I will not" .I can tell you that i didn't get a chance to help you, but infact I had a chance to do so'

Reaction-formation; found in anxiety staates.
Passive-aggressive: found in borderline personality disorders and in young children
