Well, I'm a FMG. I'm aiming to take step 2 ck in late august.
I was signed up for a light elective in august so I can spend a good amount of time studying for the exam. I just learned that the attending at the hospital is no longer working at the hospital so the elective I was going to take might get canceled.
There isnt another light elective at that hospital. Next closest would be a vascular surgery elective with my current surgery attending. Its more driving and I'm not sure how much he'd expect me.
I learned I can up to 6 weeks off to study for any of the step 2 exams.
I'm not in any hurry to finish my rotations. Its either I finish in feb or march of 2007.
Any advice?
