22 YR OLD PREGNANT PT IN HER LAST TRIMESTER WAKES UP IN MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITH SEVERE BILATERAL CRAMPS IN THE CALVES ALL CAN ALLEVIATE THE SYMPTOMS EXEPT

could someone pls explain why do these cramps occur, the pathophysiology and what is this condition. thanks.

there can be lots of reasons for these cramps...like DVT, hypocalcemic tetany,anemia....so all will alleviate the condition except DORSIFLEXION OF FOOT , as stretching the calve muscles will aggravate the situation.
