BBB, I´m a pediatrician in Brazil, but I was born in Houston TX. Considering both of things, what score would be necessary to enter any pediatric residency?
Thanks a lot.

Sorry, but I can be of no assistance in regards to Pediatric programs. I don't even know any one in a peds program that I could ask.

sad

I see that a lot of people is interested about scores to IMG American citizen. What advantage related to minimum required scores do you think we have?

smiling face HI, LOOK, WHAT I KNOW IS THAT IT´S VERY IMPORTANT (SPECIALLY) FOR IMGs THAT HAVE VERY VERY HIGH SCORES TO BE ELIGIBLE IN ANY RESIDENCY PROGRAM. I HAVE KNOWN THAT THEY STILL GIVE PREFERENCE TO US AND CANADIAN STUDENTS, SO YOU MUST BE VERY GOOD.

STUDY HARD AND GO FOR YOUR DREAMS !!! YOU CAN DO IT.

P.D. YOU COULD LOOK FOR IMG PEDIATRICIANS IN THE WEBPAGES OF THE HOSPITALS.

But an international name doesn't always mean an IMG....remember that!! Many of my residents have traditional names but went to medical school in the USA. :?

:?:
What does it mean?
BBB, it looks like you chaged the subject completely!
Would you mind making yourself more clear?
Obrigado.

Akshay who went to school in Georgia (the state, not the country)
Prashant who went to school in New Orleans
Madhavi who went to school in Michigan
Ajay who went to school in California
Zhen Zhou who went to school in Florida

What I mean is that just looking at names is no longer an clear indication that someone is "foreign" or international.

Clear as mud?
