am a fmg on H4 visa,looking for an externship or observership.i find that most colleges offering them requires a O1,J1 ,B1 or H1 visa to do the same.is there anyone who knows,if i need to change my visa status and if so,how to do so. thank you ann

I do know that J1 and H1 are work visas and you have to be accepted into a residency to obtain these visas. Good luck

For observership/ externship u dont need to change the visa as long as these are unpaid positions. You cant accept checks on H4 unless u have a work permit(EAD).
