Hey guys, am semi-new to this forum, started about 3 weeks ago. I've been doing physio(my first subject) in this battle they call USMLE step 1. My question is that my first read is taking quite a bit of time plus I cant seem to really recall anything! is this normal or is something wrong with me! Ive been at it for 3 weeks now(with many breaks, sicknesses-got the flu so minus 3 days and chillout weekends) and I still have another 90 pages to complete it! I know I have to pick up the pace but God-willing I will, I am determined but just need a kick in the 'deriere' or something to pick up the pace and Remember!!

Hey,
Do not worry TOO much! Physio (and pathology) is essential for understanding mechanisms and it is sometimes difficult - and it really takes time. But can you imagine any better way of spending your time than learning? IMHO, by doing it one uses gifts (time, mind, will etc.) given by God in the best way.
I was reading physio for the first time for one month (having some breaks, and willing to understand all things properly) - I've finished some days ago and I already have impression that I've forgotten many things...
What seems important to me is to start physio q-banks very soon to find good motivation. Tracing this forum (subscribing + reading past topics) is also extremaly useful, it allows you to stay in contact with what you've already done.
Do not slow down, physiology is amazing in comparison to all that memo stuff you find in some other subjects (like biochemistry and anatomy

Thanks for the vote of confidence Bartek. I guess Im slow cuz Ive been writing it out as I go along in Physio. The course is not that boring, just nothing is sticking. Anyhow, are u starting with Q bank immediately after 1st read? should I be doing the same?
