4 or 5. If they mean flat affect by "inappropriate", then it's 4.On the other hand they would write "flat", so maybe it's 5.

Flat affect means "flat" "flat" does not mean inappropriate. Flat affect means someone does not response to you, flat means no more air, really flat Flat affect refers more to depression, inappropriate ---->personality disorder amd schizophrenia

fluctuating consciousness indicates delirioum and any non organic psychosis (eg schiz)or mood disorder cant be diagnosed in the presence of delirium flat affect - no affect i.e emotional display (blunted affect is a milder form). it is seen in schiz. one cant say depressives have flat affect. depressed patients show their sad mood on the face (yeah exceptions exist) inappropriate affect- affect that is unsuitable for the situation eg laughing when told of parents demise. it can also be seen in schiz
