Case series report and case control study are totally different
Case series report---> it is a report---->report what-----> what happened to those who have thyroid cancer---->how------> by asking a series of questions----->ask what----->ask if they have been exposed to radiation
Case control study----> 3,500 have thyroid cancer, 3,500 do not have thyroid cancer----> ask both of them about radiation and see who has radiation ----> cancer
case control study----> control what---> control the diseases and don't have the diseases----> study what----> study those expose to the disease and the outcome compare with those have no disease (means study)

case report----> one case, one patient case report (not 3500 thyroid pt)
cohort study----> two groups follow them in next 20 years prospective forward study
clinical trial---> two groups with different intervention and follow the results to compare the efficacy of the different treatment and outcome

"Control" means----> a control group have "NO DISEASE" to compare with a group have disease
Case Control Study must have a 3500 group that have NO THYROID CANCER !!

I was thinking of case control study, but after reading AAAAA's explanation I am convinced to go for case series report....good one AAAAA
