E, Mutans is more often in gingivitis.

virdans....staph (by an above poster as a possibility) is more likely to be an ACUTE endocarditis.

SBE = SUBacute bacterial endocarditis. The viridans strep are the most common cause of SBE.

Its viridans strep.....Staph aereus is a normal flora of oropharynx..so no relation with dental procedure....

Its viridan stre....Staph aerues is not a normal flora of oropharynx..so no relation with dental procedure...it cause IE esp: in IV drug abusers...

this is another stupid question. ok, as it is asked I agree with you guys on G+ bacteria and ACUTE endocarditis, but: extracting fluid from the pericardial cavity is done in PERIcarditis, in endo usualy you don't have an exudate, posibly an transudate from right heard failure and gingivitis, from my knowledge is is treated with drugs, antibiotics. if you have an abscess then you incise it and that's not a gingivitis anymore, that's a apical abscess do correct my intervention
