This question was mentioned in the usmle step 1 forum (recall from the boards)... what would be the right answer?
4) A 23-year-old woman is told that she has a form of cancer. She answers that she wants to try unconventional therapy (acupuncture, herbal, etc.) instead of chemotherapy. Your answer should be:
a)Maybe you should go to another doctor.
b)You can use in parallel the unconventional therapy, but I advise you to start the chemotherapy.
c)You can try the unconventional therapy.
