Hi
They tell that try our free questions, and there are none. This after taking pains to register and giving them your e-mail etc. The CCS fomat is awful and importantly it is different. Practice on this fomat and you will have tough time in the real exam.
Not worth trying it.

i totally disagree with all what you wrote about USMLESTEP123.
As of today, usmlestep123 ccs cases software are the most similar to the original usmle exam. they give you feedback and score your performance on ccs. no other commercial course offer this service.
yes, you can argue that it their software is difficult and not user friendly, but so far no other course offer anything better.
you talk about free questions, as of last month, there were free sample questions. so please don't criticize a product so bitterly without investigating properly.
personally, i have nothing to do with usmlestep123, i did not even purchase it when i was preparing for my exam, but i cannot say it is good or bad, because i did not use it. i did only the free sample questions.
i feel that for the MCQ, usmleworld is superior to Usmlestep123
but for the CCS cases, at moment, no course can compare itself to usmlestep123. they are far superior than any other course.
i just just got my passing result for step 3, even though i was convinced that i have failed it, because of the numerous mistake i thought I made. but thanks to God I passed.
if i was to do the exam again, i will definitely purchase usmlestep123 CCS cases.
This is my opinion. get the opinion of someone who has purchase it before you can make your own conclusion.

I tried usmlesteps123 and I found their CCS cases very helpful for the exam. I had several CCS cases from their site on my exam and I did very well with no problems on those cases. What other site will give you the opportunity to practice cases and give you nice summaries of orders written by professionals? I'm not sure what you mean with the problems you had, but I had no problems and thought they were really good.
The MCQ test bank on usmlesteps123 was not as good as on kaplan, but the CCS cases are excellent.

I have a right to have my opinion.Every one is entitled to one. You had yours and I respect that. The fact is that this software is DIFFERENT from the original.One needs to enter the first three letters of investigations to order. This is not there in FSMB(USMLE) CD. The softwareof FSMB/USMLE recognises thousands of orders.Here in this, it recognises hardly a hundred. As no other course is offering this, Is this the best? I dont buy that argument. The CCS free case which I tried goes on its own irrespective of what you do. Whether you order the investigations or order exam, it will show the next screen what is already decided by them. Practice you can do only on orginal(FSMB/usmle) cd. Nothing else. For the investigations to be ordered, one can read usmleworld or anyother book.

the truth is, there are gigantic messages saying that their CCS course works this way.
they are not trying to fool anyone, saying like "we can replicate Primum perfectly".
There is even a page explaining the differences between their CCS and the actual CCS.
So don't blame them

Suresubabu and Bobby, thank you for your posts. Ofcourse it is ultimately upto the individual to make up their mind about a product, but sure helps to know the pros and cons. I was not aware of usmlestep 123 until now. This forum is great for being a front for real people to share their opinions freely.

hey all for the ccs try passfirst cd. it is available at passfirst.com,and the soft ware is exactly like the one in the exam and it recognizes all the orders that the usmle software does. i have tried it and found it really good.
