Question: 4<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> A laborer feels a sharp pain in his right shoulder as he is lifting a heavy crate. On examination, he has moderate pain and soreness in the right shoulder. The shoulder can be moved passively through most of the range, but active abduction can be achieved only if assisted. The most likely diagnosis is 1) rupture of the tendon of the long head of biceps. 2) subglenoid dislocation of the shoulder. 3) axillary nerve injury. 4) acute subdeltoid bursitis. 5) partial rupture of the rotator cuff.
