can someone please ell me what materials to use for step 3. should i join kaplan ? are the videos necessary? also do i need to be ecfmg certified for taking stepp 3 . what are the requirements?

If you did ok on step 1 and step 2 then good resources for step 3 include:
Crush step 3
Kaplan qbank
First Aid for step 3 CCS section in the back
usmlesteps123 CCS cases
Those are the resources I used and found very helpful for my exam. Other people say usmleworld, Swanson's and blueprints are also good but I have not used them. I have heard the Kaplan books and DVD are useful, but I did not use those either.
Im not sure about ecfmg certified to take step 3.

u have to be ecfmg certified before u can apply for step 3.it's a mandatory requirement.

hi peds101,
I am using first aid to prepare for step3 CCS case....I have a query...they use "Chem 8, chem14, chem 7"....Can u tell me what r these?!!!.
