BACTERIUM HARBORING 15000 BP PLASMID ENCODES RESISTANCE TO TETRACYCLINE AND AMPICILLIN SEGREGATE MUTANTS THAT LOOSE RESISTANCE TO EITHER DRUG.EACH INDEPENDENT MUTANT PLASMID APPEARS TO INCREASE IN SIZE BY APPROXIMATELY 5200 BP.WHICH MOLECULAR EVENT BEST EXPLAINS THESE FINDING? 1.FORMATION OF PLASMID CONCATEMERS 2.FORMATION OF PYRIMIDINE DIMERS 3.HOMOLOGOUS RECOMBINATION 4.INSERTION OF A TRANSPOSON 5.SLIP STRANDED DNA REPLICATION ERROR. PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR ANSWER.

i think its 4.PLASMIDS ARE EXTRACHROMOSOMAL MATERIAL THAT DO NOT TAKE PART IN ANY OF THE REMAINING EVENTS, SO I THINK 4 IS THE BEST OPTION. SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE A CORRECT EXPLAINATION AND CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG.
