If someone has a hip prosthesis can they have a C.T or M.R.I.?

their presence is not a problem as such (like it does not affect the patient), but it could distort the image. I think the signal is digitally modulated to adjust the distortions.

Actually the image would not show with MRI-I understand titanium is not magnetic..ThankYou

CT is ok,but MR not...patient would suffer from great pain at the location of prosthesis after these procedure

Ya CT should be ok, but MRI i will have to check on with a radiologist friend. Any radiologist friend here please.
