Positive sense RNA: can use their RNA as mRNA to produce proteins (direct translation) Negative sense RNA: cannot directly use their RNA to produce proteins. First, their RNAs undergo transcription to produce mRNA, then mRNAs undergo translation to produce proteins. (Indirect translation). Please explain more if you know.

thanks robins ....same thing I figurd but the pic in kaplan notes where it says the syn of macromolecules in viruses confused me.....can u pl explain wat they want to say in that pic? it would b helpful thanks

macromolecules: they are structural proteins and enzymes (e.g. RNA dependent RNA polymerase), produced by translation of mRNA.
