Can someone explain me why in addison disease" insufficient glucocorticoids lead to an inability of the kideny to excrete a water load."(kaplan)

For unknown reason that are not well understood, when cortisol is deficient.. a decrease in plasma osmolality fail to supress the ADH secretion . Thus in ppl with cortisol deficiency, a water load may require 24 hour or more to be excreted. Normally it is excreted in 2- 3 hours
