Hypotonic fl loss increases the ECF osmolarity. which causes the RBC to shrink. Hypotonic fl gain decreases the osmo of ECF which causes the RBC to swell. Hypertonic fl loss decreases the ECF osmolarity which causes the RBC to swell and vice versa.
