I'm going to buy a review book for step2 ck, but I'm not sure which one is better-boards&wards or crush step2? Can anyone give me some suggestion? Thanks a lo!

'First Aid for the USMLE step 2 CK 2005' gives A- to the boards & wards and B+ to the crush ('not enoughj detail' - it says about the crush).

3535 and P53, thank you so much. I have step2 secret (1st edition), if so which book should I buy-crush or B&W? By the way, does anyone know if there is big difference between secret 1st edition and 2nd edition? Thanks alot!

I have just read this about the 3rd (2006) edition of 'boards & wards' at www.amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1405105097/ref=s...):
"MANY MISTAKES, don't believe everything you read
This edition is OK if you can catch all of the several mistakes. THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIONS SHOULD BE MADE: 1. Table 1-33, Bart's is an abnormal hemoglobin composed of 4 gamma chains (not 4 Beta). 2. Table 1-37, IVIG is NOT a treatment for TTP but it IS a treatment for ITP. 3. Table 3-13, a benign tumor of the ovary is a cystadenOMA, NOT a cystadenoCARCINOMA. 4. Table 5-13, Dog bites that are "provoked" are LESS likely to be associated with rabies while unprovoked bites are more associated with rabies. 5. Table 1-15, Squamous cell carcinoma (not small cell as the book claims) is associated with hypercalcemia due to secretion of PTHrp. These mistakes are MAJOR. Who knows how many more there are. . .that I missed. If you can't trust SOME of the information, how can you trust ANY of it?"
has anyone noticed even more mistakes in this book?

if u have secrets DONT buy crush..its the same info but not in a q and ans style..havent read a lot of positive stuff abt boards and wards either..

its the same author...however i really am not sure abt the difference in editions..
FA was THE book for step 1...many ppl however do not seem to favor a review book for CK except crush perhaps ( same as secrets but no q and a) ..instead reviewing usmleworld explanations is recommended

crush is not detail enough!!! I would stick with the notes from UW, kaplan or presonal notes!
