i gave my visa interview for visit visa yesterday.i was interviewd for 15 min and she asked about the step 1 score purpose of visit,marital status(im married) ,my job,my father suppoirting letter.she read all the papers carefully.any way i think she got satisfied.then at the end she said that she is not rejecting my appliaction ,and embassy needs my step 2 result .she gave me a form 221(g) which says that the embassy is unable to conclude my appliaction at this time .i have been given a walk in interview next time.and i wont have to submitt visa application again.do any body know that what r the chances of mine for getting the visa next time when ill go for walk in interview.and how much positive is this response by embassy.any one with such experience.no body among my friends ever gone through such experience.plz help if some body knows about it.thanks

dear insha
i have the same problem .after 45 days of first interview and gave me the same form . i email the embassy and ask them about next schadule for interview .
they told me come to embassy , i did that , and the same consule who interviewed me last time . came and give me a tourist visa . i think its for security check especially if you are from middle east country.
its my experience i hope its usful for you

Visa interviews happen way outside of what I have knowledge of. You are best bet is to listen to persons who have been through this process.

It is not the case that you fell that form or another one.
you should satisfy the officer who is sitting over there that you are not an immigrant and you have a stong desire to leave the US after a few months,
you can prove this by showing some "stong tie"s between you and your country that oblige you to come back, like family, property or a good reputation.
I hope you get Visa, this time

You seem to be in a very good position right now coz you have already done the important part of convincing the officer that you r not a prospective immigrant.I am almost sure you will get the visa when you go next time with step 2 score
