how long does an average person take to prepare for step 3, especially if you want a score in the high 90's

At lest 4 months, 10 hours a day, devoted to study. Concentrate on Kaplan step3 videos, make notes while watching and listeing. Once you are done resist the temptation of reviewing them again(very time consuming, and not too useful) try and assimilate the subject. Keep doing questions simultaneously. Do all the 4 question banks. Kaplan, USMLEWORLD, NMS, and then Kaplan qbook. Dont worry about the scores toomuch. Real exam is not that hard. 60% SCORES IN ALL THE ABOVE is a good indicator of at least a pass. 2 weeks before the exam, take NBME test. Appear for the test if only the score is 380 or more. If less, post pone the exam for atleast 2 weeks, revise again and again, and give the exam. All the best

Hi Suresubabu, You mentioned about step 3 videos,this is new to me, where can i get them from, are they worth spending a lot of money. I just took CK, i wast thinking may be CK notes and UW for step 3 would do it, what do you think? You seem pretty quick at answering Qs. I ll appreciate your time.
