Top 5 tumors in cerebellopontine angle are Schwannoma(75%), arachnoid cyst, meningioma, ependymoma, epidermoid.

Schwannoma sometimes is picked up by accident. It affects CN VIII.

Pontocerebellar Angle syndrome:
Caused by an acoustic neuroma (schawnnoma) of VIII. Slow growing tumor which originiates from schawnn cells. As the tumor grows, it exerts pressure on the lateral part of the caudal pons where CN VII emerges !! but can also expands anteriorly to compress V nerve .. but looking forward there is evidence that it first compresses VII then V ...
