I am from ain shams medical school - egypt
I applied online and paid the fees, printed form186 when I went to sign it from my collage, the official told me that my degree date is wrong
I finished the school it self in dec 2004 then had my internship from march 200 to feb 2006 so I said I received my final diploma at march 2006 since the internship is obligatory to take the diploma. the problem is that the faculty consider that I had my degree date at august 2005 in which they allow us to take only a temporary certificate. the faculty offcial told me that they have done previuosly issued form 186 with the aug 2005 date to other candidates from my class and that I should do the same.
since I know you can't change form 186, I am nearly crying now I emailed ecfmg but the automated responce told me that I need to wait ten days to get a responce which nearly the dead line of the eligibility period
the other problem is that our school don't differentiate bet a diploma and a transcript all they issue is are 4 types of papers
1- a certificate of good conduct
2- a certicfcate that I had mbbch with final degree
3- a certificate of study hours
4- a certificate of details of degrees
each carry the official school seal and the government seal so should I submit all of them or what and how does the school respond for the transcript .

your 3rd & 4th certificates can be considered as transcripts if you request your school to put 'transcript'on top.
I had the same concern about grad year.But my school had no problem putting after internship/ diploma issue date as my grad year. Come on, deal w/ your school employees.

hi.. dont knw about the grad date.. but as far as the transcrpit is concerned.. i have had some problems with the transcript n had written to ecfmg.. thy have replied back to me saying that they will except any document which thy receive from ur college as a transcript .colleges can have different formats as far as transcripts are concerned.. trust me.. these ecfmg n US Residency programmes will understand about it... donot waste ur time on the same.. just study hard n get good scores... other things like the contents of transcript can be overlooked.. after all ,its issued by the college n u r not supposed to have any hand in it.. so its not ur cup of tea...

I contacted ecfmg and they said it is no problem I overrided the application and entered the correct info but form 186 didn't change they said it is not a problem
and by the way overrideing the application just returned the money as credit
