Hi,
I'm planning to come to USA for my CSA exam. Which is the best type of visa- J1 or B1?
I know the 2 yr rule for J1. I dont want to go back to my home country for 2 yrs.
I would eventually want to continue and go for H1.
Could you please help me out here.

You need a residency or research position to obtain a J1 visa.
